Things are happening. Things are happening very, very quickly. Faster than ever. We’re surely hurtling toward something, but what is it? A technology-soaked dopamine dystopia that makes today’s vacant scroll-fests look timid? Or, will we find a way land upon a utopian new-age novelty tide? A coalescence of plenty, philosophy and technology that will carry us toward something better.
The answer of course, is both and neither.
To arrive anywhere approaching the more desirable end of the spectrum, we’ve got to be mindful. We as individuals (and collectively) have got be asking ourselves what we’re doing with the technodelic wands we’re wielding and why. If we don’t, they’ll surely be wielding us.
That’s how I think of these sessions with Michael Garfield. They’re self-administered conversational check-ins diagnosing where we are and where we’re going.
